Just a note that aiding a suicide in this manner could constitute a criminal offence. That bridge is likely covered by comprehensive CCTV. Not trying to be a downer on the OP, and hope they find success.

This post should probably be in the Partners Megathread.
Good luck, mate.

Yeah there is bridge watch and cameras all along. People still jump frequently but it is covered by cameras.

So if the OP is seriously physically disabled, they may not even get a chance to attempt before being intercepted, even if they could travel there?

I mean they have to climb a barrier anyways to jump so I don't expect they are in a wheelchair or cannot walk ? And yes some people linger and are intercepted by bridge patrol and/or police.
Many people have succeeded though from jumping here! But I think those ones don't hesitate and just do it. A few have survived the fall also which is god damn madness!!!!

I hope the OP is okay, I've been in a boat and went under this bridge and it's high as hell! I couldn't bring myself to jump from there and anytime I hear someone has I admire the guts they had!

This is a bridge over water and the drop looks survivable. Wouldn't the cause of death be drowning?

There's only been maybe 2 or 3 survivors, one was because of the way they landed but they were left with a broken back, pelvis, legs etc etc etc and the other was their backpack saved them but also had various injuries. I live near the bridge and there's successful suicides from it every month nearly. Definitely die hitting the water and it's scotland so the water is freezing!

Most of the time the bodies are picked up by the lifeboat but some people are never found or wash up along the coast.

The new bridge built next to this has NO pedestrian access and that was made because of the number of deaths from the old one.

I do NOT want to encourage anyone to do this - it looks like a horrible end - but googling says only 3/800 jumpers survived as of the year 2000. The article said it's like hitting concrete from that height.

OP - are things truly hopeless for you? Is there any more support you can get with your disability than you are currently getting? As others have said it would surely be an offence for anyone to help you in the manner you describe. I understand how frustrating it must be not to have that independence.

There are predators on this forum. Someone who is disabled is not able to fight back against someone abled, strong, and who has an agenda. I empathize with the need and desperation, but it could turn out very badly.

Edit: Not intending to cause offense to you, OP, but this is a caution to readers. The OP could be a predator, too. Serial killer Ted Bundy's MO was to wear an arm sling and ask women to help him with putting his groceries in the car.

True , but its so sad the world has come to this that one cannot trust anyone ... Even in Death.
