I don't want to be left in my car for days to rot in the summer heat. My family will get worried sick that I'm missing. Id prefer police could inform my family before they found me missing. I've cut myself off from all irl friends in preparation for CTB. I don't have the option of scheduled text messages in my phone. You cant text emergency services anyway. I don't know anyone that checks their email enough to be trusted to make that phone call.

Any suggestions?

Depends on your method. For example, if you shoot yourself in the head, jump in front of a train or from a building and die instantly, you can just call the police and tell them to come pick up the corpse. But it doesn't sound this way from your post, so I would say the best bet would be to send a letter to the police station on the same day. Hello, my name is so-and-so, born on XX.XX.XXXX, I have commited suicide at X location, come pick up my corpse, no I am not fucking joking; something like that. The letter should arrive in the police station on the following day and ideally they take it serious enough to come check it out.

I was looking at the best way to let everyone know I have ctb I don't like the thought of delayed e-mail as I wouldn't want nothing to go wrong, get stuck in a junk folder and deleted or don't read it for some reason so I am considering ctb on a Saturday or Sunday in which case I will send a normal Royal Mail special delivery with a £2500 insurance on plus a written message on it saying not to deliver until Monday before 13.00, they won't deliver until the Monday as I never paid the extra for a Saturday delivery but just to make sure, I considered 09.00 delivery but I don't want to wake them to early so before 13.00 should cost less than £20.00.

You could also send a similar SD to the local police station where you have decided to ctb with the make, model and colour and your registration number so they will come and find you quickly.

This way I will include my Will detailing my last wishes and my suicide note which I will make sure they have no guilt.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

I like this idea. Letters still take 2/3 days to arrive. It is a pandemic after all. I could deliver the letter straight to the police office, but then it's the risk of it being opened too fast or not opened at all.

Smart. I like this idea. Wow on 2500 insurance. It definitely will reach. A little worried for you that it may reach earlier than you expected. I've had normal deliveries come on Saturdays many times before, and if it's guaranteed even more likely they'll be more willing to send it faster.

My biggest issue with your idea is I definitely have to successfully CTB on that day. If all the stars align, I'd like to but if I suddenly don't have the house to myself to sneak out, nerves make me crash my car, SN doesn't work, I change my mind, break a leg etc. I'm screwed. I don't want to wind up in a psych ward.

Make sure it's SD with £2500 insurance as I will guarantee it won't go missing and delivered, normal letters go through the sorting machines and can be destroyed but SD are handled with care it's there bread and butter and posties will lose any bonus or job if they mishandle them.

You could send one to next of kin for 13.00 delivery and send one to the local Police station for a 09.00 delivery still should be around £20.00 under £30.00 I would still write above the name and address to deliver on Monday DATE only in red ink or permanent marker, so it stands out.

If you send it Friday it gives you the weekend to ctb. Plus they will treat it more importantly and read it if it arrives by SD as they have to sign for delivery.

Cheers

There's a way round that. Send them the intended location, make model and colour of your car. No reg. no or personal info.

They'll be obliged to check, even if it's a drive-past. If a matching vehicle is there, they'll look closer. If not they'll assume a prank or aborted attempt but they can't trace it back to you.

Nothing in life is simple, lol, here we go another method you can seal the letters with the name and address and date and time for delivery now you can use a local minicab or bike courier company if they are very local, visit them and say you want to pay cash for these letters to be delivered on Monday at 10.00 or 12.00 etc.

I have called mini cabs to buy my cigarettes in the past and I have had them collect a passport and bring them to me so I know this will work if you have a bike courier you can ring them and say it's a cash job very important documents must not be delivered until Monday morning or afternoon, it's not really expensive and if you change your mind you can call them and say you made a mistake and please return them to you.

That's it I'm out of ideas, :haha:

I'd have to change where to park my car. But I could make this work if I had to. My issue is I want my family not to notice my absence and panic. Rather they just get called up and get the news. Think I've only left the house two/ three times since April. It's suspicious.

But Ive got an idea. Idiot for not thinking this before. I can just drop a scheduled email to a Pharmacy, a GP surgery or the police. If I write urgent help or something in subject they will respond fast, Now I just have to pick one or maybe two to email. Let's hope it doesn't go into spam.

That'd work well. All the best to you. :) Very nice on getting mini cabs to get ya stuff. I used to not mind the excuse to get out so it worked for me nicely. Thanks for the advice!

I think people worry to much about what happens after their death. You wouldn't be around so why worry about these things? Pain and sorrow to your family will be inevitable either way.

Being suicidal doesn't mean being devoid of compassion. The OP has said her family would panic if she just disappeared. Arranging to be found means not inflicting that on them. She also mentioned not wanting to be found in a decayed state due to being in a car in the summer heat. This would also be avoided by making arrangements.

Family will feel pain and sorrow but trying to keep that to a minimum is pretty noble.

Imdone pretty much covered most of what I'd have said. I'll add that not being around doesn't mean you never were around. You'll still impact other people significantly. Most people aren't pro death and even if you are, losing a dead loved one really hurts so badly, so to minimize people's pain is ideal. Plus I don't want someone innocent stumbling upon a dead body. That's usually not a pleasant experience.

If you don't want to make anyone distraught by finding or seeing you I hope you have considered something like these shades for the car.

Yep Geo! Exactly what I'm gonna be using. :) I'm debating whether to cover my windscreen or not though. Back of my car is tinted but not front.
