Hi all, does anyone in the US know if any of the antiemetics listed in Stan's guide are easy to obtain otc? Or of a generic alternative that isn't listed?

Dromperidone
Metoclopramide
Olanzapine
Alizapramide
Chlorpromazine
Prochlorperazine

Thanks,

What about "Dramamine" or "Gravol" (dimenhydrinate) ?
I realise that's a "second-best" option to only consider for "rush cases", but I assume you can get it in the US ?

Those are technically antihistamines, and yes you can. As well as diphenhydramine/Benadryl.

Stan's AE are not OTC in US and Europe .

Please read FAQ .

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...antacid-beta-blockers-painkillers-draft.29822

Are they available?NO. Prescription only.
  • Ask physician, example (original post)
  • Search Internet
  • Consult existing threads (others looking for it)

Domperidone and Metoclopramide are available through internet pharmacies .

"second-best" option histamines are not prokinetic

See below for what the PPH says on Dramamine / Gravol (dimenhydrinate).
I suppose it sort of implies it's an "acceptable choice", although that's probably something that can be debated.
It should obviously be viewed as a "second best" option, but better than nothing if you're not prepared to wait to get one of the better options listed in Stan's guide.

PPH also says 2g beta blockers .

This appears very flimsy on their behalf . They write Dramamine marketed "for use in the end of life context" , which is strange phrasing , and not really true . Research says:
Antiemetic selection is based on knowing which drugs block the receptors found in the structure where the cause of the nausea and vomiting is acting on, inferred from the clinical assessment discussed earlier.

For example , chemotherapy or poisoning AE like ondasteron are not that suitable , because the site is different (stomach and not CTZ-brain) . Histamine very limited .

As you can see H is in the Vestibular nucleus , responsible for movement . And indeed H treats motion sickness and vestibular disorders . Which have nothing to do with poisoning .

PPH is basically publishing placebo .. :)

I wanted to get Metoclopramide by calling the doctors and telling them my symptoms, instead I got prescribed with Zofran instead. Not too sure what to do now.

Has anticholinergic properties because it's an antihistamine

Tell them it helps a little, but you don't like the side effects. Give it a few days and say you're constipated and don't want to take meds for that as well. Or a throbbing headache, ect. Good luck.

PM me if you need anything

I feel like screaming it's your right to do so! But I'm working on my anger towards health services. Like quarky said just go back, at some point, say it helps a bit but not as much as this other stuff (don't phrase it like that lol)

I'll PM you
Me too please.
Hey they sell Dramamine on amazon, Tagamet, and pure Sodium Nitrite. I'm getting that next day delivery Prime. The anticipation is probably the worst part than the suicide.

Dramamine is not documented in SN euthanasia or suicide cases .

It is a combination drug of diphenhydramine (sedative) and 8-Chlorotheophylline (stimulant)

Diphenhydramine:
  • A potent anticholinergic , its use is not recommended in the elderly and children , paradoxical reactions have been recorded , and it creates an impairment compared to blood alcohol level of 0.10 (higher than the 0.08 driving limit). Common side effects include sleepiness, poor coordination and an upset stomach.
  • Because of its sedative properties, diphenhydramine is widely used in nonprescription sleep aids for insomnia, and it has also been used as anxiolytic.
  • Diphenhydramine antiemetic properties are useful in treating nausea that occurs in vertigo and motion sickness.
8-Chlorotheophylline:
  • A stimulant drug of the xanthine class -- physiological effects similar to caffeine.
  • The stimulant properties of 8-Chlorotheophylline help ward off Diphenhydramine side-effects.

Thanks for your advice. I never picked up the medication since I know that it doesn't work. Would love to PM you when it's allowed.
