We have some new members joining the site recently and welcome!

Just thought I'd post a quick thread to raise awareness for scam-prevention on this forum.

Please use extra caution if someone asks you for your phone number,
address or other personal information that could potentially make you vulnerable to blackmails/scams.

No but a few less-recent members of the community had voiced their concerns over this issue.
It's rare but just thought people need to know this in case they skipped the forum rules/guide when they first joined.

The thread linked below was recently added to the Suicide Discussion sticky threads at the top of that page. Scams do happen, always good to be aware. Sometimes a user's crossed-out name is a scammer who got busted. Watch out for sob stories and people just wanting to do good things to help others -- could be a scam, could be law enforcement setting a trap.
