Anti-emetics. Is fasting necessary?

Hi just wondering whether it's necessary to fast for anti-emetics to work? It would defnitely be more difficult for me.

Nothing I've read says you have to fast when taking anti-emetics. It's to prevent vomiting so I imagine it's for people who can't keep their food down.

My understanding is that it's good to fast for the last 8 hours.
