I have had a drinking problem for about a year. I drink every night, and I feel like I can't stop. At around 6pm every evening, my body starts asking for it again, and I patiently wait for the craving to kick in before I start so it can be more enjoyable.
But needing to drink is also very annoying in the sense that my night basically ends from the moment I start. I'm too dumb and spaced out to focus on anything, and I have lost countless hours where I could have been doing something productive or pro-social.
For the sober ones out there, how do you cope at night? Are there any methods you use to keep the thoughts at bay that don't involve drugs?
