I'm sick of being alone, why is loneliness so bad? advice?

I imagine a large percentage of us here suffer from that to some degree. The good news, at least for some, this forum helps to alleviate that problem as there is always someone here that can relate to whatever issue(s) you may have and there is always someone here interested in listening and talking to you. In that sense, you will never be fully alone here.

Loneliness can be painful as many people have a need to feel connected to others. However some people like me would prefer to be alone and that is down to my personality. I know that for some people it can be very isolating feeling as though you are alone and I'm sorry you have to go through this. I wish you the best.

Well, being shy is not a bad thing. I've been "shy" or "outgoing" and I'll tell you. It never solves itself.
