Had appointment with GP an hour ago. Prescribed anti-acid meds (Omeprazole)
I had also asked for anti-nausea meds, but doc said Omeprazole does the same thing.
Doc asked me if I had heard from psych. Told her no. She said that she had emailed Psych, who had said that they were waiting for me to contact them regarding starting a mood stablizer. Psych is a liar. Had bloods done ages ago, which were needed before I started meds. I had contacted mental health services, when I was hanging on by a thread and was told I would start meds' the following week. This never happened. Never heard from anyone. Still haven't.
I'll purchase something for nausea from chemist. Any recommendations?

I used to take cyclizine hydrochloride for nausea but I don't know if you can get them over the counter anywhere. I doubt it, though. They're also incredibly bitter tasting.

Sorry to hear about your experiences with mental health services. I've dealt with them before and currently I am but I haven't gotten anywhere. Sending you hugs

Metoclopramide (Reglan). Your physician is kinda full of shit; Omeprazole doesn't help with nausea unless said nausea is secondary to gastritis or reflux, which Omeprazole calms.

I do feel nauseous due to acid reflux, but I also suffer from extreme nausea, from time to time. Comatose11 recommended an anti-nausea meds, that I can purchase from ebay, so I'll head down that route for now.

I checked eBay; I was curious, because it's not legal to sell prescription meds there. People are selling it as an antiemetic for dogs. Same thing, and a clever workaround.

Omeprazol is not a anti-emetic. I'm so confused right now.

I use something similar(Esomeprazole) as that as acid reducer. Motilium(domperidon) is my antiemetic.

Your gp doesn't know you needs meds for a ctb attempt. I would strongly advise getting a real antiemetic.

If your doing sn the antacid suggested in the ppeh is tagamet 800mg. People have also used ranitidine (zantac) in Europe because tagamet isn't otc there. Zantac is considered 3 times the potentcy as tagamet. Also do check out the ppeh (Inorganic salts) in the resources thread, and the first page of the "sn megathread" it gives the specifics. You want a clear understanding of the method without a bunch of erroneous advice given from people who haven't bothered to throughly research something.

In the reverse of that approach, I used to buy ranitidine for my horse at WalMart. Much cheaper than buying it from a veterinarian. A horse's dose of ranitidine is a lo-o-ot of pills, though...

Nope: cheaper at WalMart, in that kind of bulk. As soon as horses are involved, everyone assumes you've got tons of money, so the price goes up.

Nobody has yet tried the proton pump inhibitors, (for suicide) many of them are timed released. I have read they are more effective, but they take a longer time to act. The couple of live blogs with SN all used the meto,tagamet/or zantac and quit responding very quickly after reporting fairly pleasant side effects.

The H2 blockers are faster acting, but not as effective. You'd get the most ideal outcome by taking a PPI routinely, starting about a week prior. They're not time released, they just need a few days to reach their full effect.

Either one will work, and probably work fine. I just want people to know what their options are, and why PPIs are the gold standard for reducing stomach acid.

No, and there's actually a very good physiological/chemical reason for this that I don't have time to explain right now; please, please remind me later, because honestly I think it deserves a post of it's own and I have a great explanation for it. Remind me!!
