Contrary to what a good amount of people think here I don't believe it is so ridiculous to assume there is life after death. I believe there is, it's just incomprehensible. An exercise of the human imagination but ultimately a moot point. At the very least I imagine we end up coming back as someone else without any recollection or connection to our previous lives. A kind of secular reincarnation, if you will. Or eternity passes and you end up coming back via another Big Bang. Awake in a flash. I've read that at death you go back to before you were born. Well, yes....but then you were born. Enjoy the endless loop. Perhaps it shall be better the next time around.

I just can't imagine wanting this. It's not like I believe life could be good if only I was this or if only that. I think there's no way. I'm envious of no one except the dead. Even the best life is still full of a bunch of hell.

If there is an afterlife, i sure as heck do not want it to be a repeat of this one. Once was enough, whether i was rich or poor bla bla bla makes no difference because its all the same. If we keep recycling through this life then it is truly hell.

this might sound vain, but it kind of makes me sad that i'll lose who i am if i were to be reincarnated... the only thing i love about myself is my way of thinking and my personality

imagining myself as an entity i despise like - god forbid - someone who willingly listens to 6ix9ine or some shit makes me prefer an endless dark void

What smills said, there's a thread for it. Although I'll just drop my opinion quickly there's no way to prove or disprove such a thing but science, the thing that's given us most of our knowledge today, tells us that simple things are more likely to be true. Afterlife would need an extremely complicated explanation and when you're willing to consider things outside of reality that's when I leave the conversation. I don't believe in anything "metaphysical" so to speak because none of it can be reliably proven consistently.
