  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Hi all,

I'm currently 8 weeks post surgery from my mom makeover/tummy tuck surgery with repair of some muscles that tore during a pregnancy. I'm pretty much healed up now and can do normal activities again, my surgeon told me to just go and live a little during my last check-up. I haven't really felt much difference mentally, still feeling depressed, numb, sad, lifeless, etc, so the surgery itself unfortunately did not change much for me in that aspect. On a positive note, I suddenly just got 2 large tax returns at once. One from last year and another one from 2021 when I was working 3 jobs at once for a period. The tax office reached out and told me that they just now realised that I had been paying too much back then so I'd get a return for that now too. Before I got the second tax return, I was looking at adrenaline filled activities last week. I haven't really had an interest in things like that ever, but I'm thinking maybe it's worth a try just to see if I can feel some kind of joy, thrill and life in me again mentally and emotionally. No idea if it would work, but I think this would be the time to try it, maybe like bungee jumping or something like that just to see if it would feel like anything. I just want to feel something other than depressed, suicidal and numb. It seems to work for adrenaline junkies so maybe this could potentionally be a thing to help aid with my recovery? Still looking into it, but I want to try it out as soon as possible.

Thrilling sensations can be stimulating, but the thrill usually fades. You might look into something like volunteer work that can be more satisfying as opposed to thrilling.

I've done some of that but it has not really helped with suicidal feeling. It kinda makes me more depressed.

Idk how much money you got but a older 1000cc sport bike and hitting 200mph is a high like no other, genuinely makes me want to live just so i can go faster lol

You might consider experimenting with things like diet and nutrition, vitamins and supplements, and exercise and sleep schedule.

I do have a good schedule, take multi vitamins and multi minerals for past 10 years and work out 4-5 times a week, plus I've been on a diet due to a surgery for past 9 weeks. Not feeling any different mentally, I sometimes spiral into a anorexic episode if I obsess over or focus too much on diets and work outs, so trying to balance that.
