So today I almost died. Usually it wouldn't be surprising if someone like me (a suicidal person) would make an attempt on their life. This however was not intentional at all, I hadn't even planned for it to happen in the first place, it was purely accidental.
So I came home to find my puppy had peed all over the house. Wanting to get rid of the smell I thought for some reason that it was a good idea to mix bleach with a cleaning disinfecter. For some reason my mind seemed to forget that mixing bleach with ammonia can cause a extremely dangerous toxic vapor (chloramine). I know I put a lot more bleach and disinfector then necessary because the smell of urine was really strong. Since it was in my basement there were no windows I could open up to air it out anyway.
At first my eyes and throat started to burn and I just pushed that thought to the side because I thought it was the bleach. The next case of events are a bit blurry but I remember starting to cough violently after my having this incredibly painful burning sensation in my chest. I got extremely lightheaded and don't remember passing out at all. This was how my grandma found me passed out on the couch in the basement and called 911 immediately.
I woke up in the hospital with the most painful sore throat imaginable and I was put on oxygen. My first thought immediately went to if my dogs were okay or not and needing them to get checked out at the vet.
My doctor monitoring me thought I was insane for being more concerned about them even though I almost lost my life.
Fair to say that method won't be used when I actually ctb.
