I wish you peace with whatever you choose. I did the same thing the other night...came up with an thick extension cord but remembering I read something somewhere saying those are not reliable. I'm sorry partial didn't work out for you. It's a hard method to crack when you can't pass out, even though it seems so easy in theory.

Yes when I see little kids doing it successfully , it baffles me.In fact I would expect them to fail more.
