Oops it doesn't work my bad. If u want to look it up on YouTube, it's called Phsyc-Drugs Harm - Seven: Breggin - brain impairment and withdrawal. It's pretty shocking information. The YouTube channel is PoetDox

Yep that's the one, it might make some people rethink all the meds we are on. Adderall makes my terrible life more tolerable but it doesn't make me have a happy or quality life. It makes it so u can do things that are miserable and convince yourself that it's not that bad lol!

This is happening because there's a lot of corruption due to government controlling healthcare. If the people control healthcare and free market this would never be tolerated. This is why government meddling in our healthcare is so dangerous. The people who hide behind government have their own private plans for us and they could care less if we are harmed. When the government controls the healthcare, nobody is held accountable for all the deaths and suffering from people getting hooked on phsyc drugs. If there was a free market in healthcare u better believe individual persons are held accountable for deaths and destruction of people. Unless it's some new medicine and you are a willing participant for possible harm because u signed up to be a guinea pig. That might be different, if u go in knowing there's potential health danger to u. There would be a lot more transparency in the medical system to protect you.

They just want to make money, they don't actually care about our health. I've always been scared to take the meds prescribed by my doctors, I refused antidepressants many times, this was a good and reassuring video.
Patient: my life really isn't worth living. I'd rather die than work for 80 years.
Dr: No. Wrong. Take this pill.
Patient: (takes pill)
Patient: Now I don't care. Guess I'll get back to work.
Dr: Great. You're saved. Pay on your way out and come back next week.

^ I found this somewhere online, it describes my thoughts so well

Yep that's pretty much how it is lol! This system is so far below my standards of what I expect mental healthcare to be like. I used to wonder if other people got that sense after seeing a phsyc doctor or gp as they can both prescribe phsyc drugs.

Do u know any alternative methods to drugs for mental illness. I have a bipolar disorder and am on medication since 13 y but i can tell it didn't improve my life. I am now convinced more then ever i should stop taking it.
I know that a healthy way of life and exercise can help. But what if i begin to have hallucinations after stoping medication.
Can anyone help me about methods that can replace medication in order to stay lucide and healthy.

I'm a new to this site, but i can 100% agree with the extremely negative effects these drugs can induce. I have been on about 14 different medications since i started getting help with mental health issues, mainly depression. None of them worked for more than a month, and they all ended badly. I've been on the meds I'm taking now for over a year now, and it's starting to go to shit again. I am extremely dissociative, I walk around with a window in front of my face separating me from reality. I don't feel like a person anymore. I feel as if many doctors have given up on me, and just put me on something strong enough to block out any and all emotions, not just the depression. I haven't felt human emotions in so long and I'm worried I never will again, even when I eventually get off these terrible drugs. Any advice I can give to those just starting to receive treatment for mental health issues, would be to honestly be very careful when agreeing to take these drugs doctors prescribe. Not saying all doctors are like this, but a lot of them just dope you up and pretend the problem is gone when you can't feel anything anymore due to these drugs. Stay safe out there please x

There is some speculation that a ketogenic (low-carb, high-fat) diet can help with bipolar disorder. Since there is some correlation between epilepsy and bipolar, and ketogenic diets have successfully been used to treat intractable epilepsy in children, then some think that it may help for bipolar. However, I've only seen 2 case studies and those had mixed results.

If your bipolar has psychotic features (i.e. hallucinations and/or delusions), it is not advisable to discontinue medications without medical supervision or you could be setting yourself up for a full psychotic break.

I'm in a similar situation. I don't like taking meds and it feels like it's taken something away from me, but every time I try to stop medication I relapse. :/
