I just want to show you astronomy fanatics out there a super cool game that can be played on a laptop. AND IT'S FREE (developers rely on donations).
SpaceEngine is a 3D astronomy program and game engine developed by the astronomer and programmer Vladimir Romanyuk. It creates a three-dimensional planetarium representing the entire universe from a combination of real astronomical data and scientifically-accurate procedural generation algorithms.
You can cross the event horizon of black holes, find planets by the center of supermassive black holes and watch the "sunset", travel at the speed of light through nebulas, fly down the atmosphere of gas giants, ride on asteroids, explore alien landscapes, basically observe any celestial phenomena. I love playing it during acid trips.
