have any of yall.... lived through communism? have family members that came from a communist country? or is this just an ongoing inside joke in here lol
What happened? It's just a meme. I think it escalated because of Depressed Cat and the walls of text she wrote. I have nothing against her, but it was a bit much. When you feel passionately enough about something to write at those kinds of lengths, you're basically asking to be trolled. That's the internet in a nutshell.
a simple google search can answer your questions. this isnt what the thread is about. Can you explain what you mean by "commies" please?
Could you also give an example of a current communist country?
So in other words you want to use your own definition of communism to insult people here. I don't need Google, I actually know those answers. You clearly don't. You made a thread to insult people. There are no "commies".a simple google search can answer your questions. this isnt what the thread is about.

im croatian. my mom and most my family lived for 20 years in communism, i think i kno wtf it is . youre coming in here trying to be slick and insult my intelligence, goodbyeSo in other words you want to use your own definition of communism to insult people here. There is like, one actual full-throated Stalinist who posts regularly l think, in terms of dominant output on here the commie posts are significantly outweighed by the number of hard-right headbangers.have any of yall.... lived through communism? have family members that came from a communist country? or is this just an ongoing inside joke in here lol
How many and can you name them? I can only think of one current member, when you use plural you suggest there a more l haven't seenThere are SS members who unironically identify as Stalinists.
Which ones? There are SS members who unironically identify as Stalinists.

The commies will not accept the accurate labels that we throw at them. There are SS members who unironically identify as Stalinists.
Never existed, never will. Socialism, on the other hand, produces a clear cut type of oligarchy every time, but without meritocracy. Sucks.Googling a classless and egalitarian society didn't yield a single result. Odd, that.
You don't see many commies here precisely due to the brave liberal vanguard keeping watch on this esteemed site to ensure ideological purity, meritocracy and access to all human necessities (at a modest fee). That, or we just kill ourselves sooner idk. There are seemingly ten times more reds-under-the-bed Mccarthyist weirdos on this website than there are actual communists.
so that's a no then
Yes. My mother was East German, and managed to escape with her mother to West Germany right before they closed the war. She'd lost her father in WWII, and had to leave her brothers and extended family behind. Before that they'd been regular, farming types (I think, my mom never really talked about it to us). The family lost everything to the Russians when Germany was divided after the war.have any of yall.... lived through communism? have family members that came from a communist country? or is this just an ongoing inside joke in here lol
What l honestly think here is that you've waded in here to express your fury at the Sanctioned Suicide Stalinists because you had a beef with the one current user you're referring to and you are using this as a means of passive aggressive snark, similarly you started an entire thread demanding an end to perceived SS Stalinism when trying to engineer a mob to run "the woigo guy" off the forum immediately after having a similar personal beef with him. That WoIGo guy was very active about a month ago. His username is crossed out, I suspect he was banned. He was in love with the idea of mass executions of "bourgeois pigs" & he kept glorifying Stalin & North Korea. I'm sure the user whose signature is "No peace between the classes!" is a Stalinist, they're fond of saying extremist things every once in a while. I read that CommunistAndProud got banned for doxing another member. I can't prove they're a Stalinist, but they deserve an honorable mention.
It's also reasonable to assume that those who consistently like posts in which Stalin is defended &/or praised admire him. Do you think it's a good idea to defend Stalin, btw?
Do you believe it's possible to create a prosperous communist society in which everyone is perfectly equal & corruption is eradicated? I think a skilled manual laborer should be paid more than a checkout person. Absolutely everyone should have all their basic needs met (+ free higher education) & nobody deserves a grotesquely high salary, of course.
Could you name one socialist country where this has happened? So far, it all sounds like capitalism to me.Socialism, on the other hand, produces a clear cut type of oligarchy every time, but without meritocracy. Sucks.
It does tend to glitch out when you click the "show ignored post" button, there's a quick workaround for this which is to simply avoid clicking it.Oh gosh, the ignore function is glitching out.
@motel rooms Why do you feel the need to appeal to such a horrible person? He will never change his opinion on you. Being a centrist or whatever you are is a sin these types can't forgive. He threw some supportive emojis at WoiAiGu when that user attacked you too, he was loving it.
First, I use the word socialism strictly for what people incorrectly call communism. So social-democracies are out. It must be totalitarian.Could you name one socialist country where this has happened? So far, it all sounds like capitalism to me.

You state that you hate Stalinism as much as you hate misogyny yet the opportunity to challenge misogyny presents itself here very very regularly and you are silent on this, unless you're telling feminists they are extremists.
You have no position, no underpinning principle and no courage in any conviction. Your opinions are hastily formed and half-baked and are based entirely on who you dislike and how you can use your assumed influence to turn people on this forum against them, usually in the form of some tediously factitious handwringing.
It's objectively accurate that the number of vocal communists on this forum are in very small number, it just so happens that these people are the ones you dislike on a personal level.
You're right, but the same holds true for many capitalist countries and has nothing to do with the economic system. Communism ≠totalitarianism in the same way capitalism ≠democracy.First, I use the word socialism strictly for what people incorrectly call communism. So social-democracies are out. I'm thinking of the obvious. Let's put ourselves into the boots of the enforcers in these dictatorships, say Soviet Russia. The intellectuals, the police, the military, the politicians.
Can you say with honesty that you think these people didn't have a better standard of living than the masses, than it wasn't very hard for them to be prosecuted if they were corrupted/criminal but "loyal to the revolution", that they couldn't accuse and jail someone of "counter-revolution" for personal reasons? Do you know what kind of power someone has in that situation if you are with the dictatorship? What can a nobody do against a representative of the revolution? Were the people and the enforcers in equal terms legally? No. It's well known many were sent to Siberia or jailed for years with made up claims or for simply writing unfavourably of the revolution in letters, and that torture was used liberally in interrogations without repercussions. This asymmetry of power is the opposite of equality.
laughable.Communism ≠totalitarianism in the same way capitalism ≠democracy.
