A question about my plan

I live on the outskirts of town. About 20 miles. I need to purchase something in town to help me CTB. But I need to travel alone and don't have my own transportation .Friends or family can't help because it will look suspicious. Is it plausible to try to take a taxi into town and back? It would be an 80 mile trip total for the taxi. Any idea how much it might cost? USA here. Thanks in advance.

Not sure how accurate that is, but it should at least give you an idea of the cost. It was about fifty bucks for me at 24 miles.

Or take the bus?
IDK about the USA but in my country bus tickets are quite cheap, around 8-10 bucks for 200km.
