I have a polypropylene rope, its diameter is 8mm, or 0.315 inch. Would that work for full suspension hanging? Thank you.

It depends on your weight. 8mm is very thin for full suspension

I would use 10mm if I was you it would not cout that deep into your neck and it would be a bit safer

But the thinner the more it will hurt cause it cuts deeper into your neck as neccessary.

According to this, the average tensile strength of polypropylene is 35,7MPa. I will consider 30MPa. If the diameter is 8mm, the area is around 50mm², so, it can handle about 1500N or 150kg without breaking. But don't trust me, my head is a bit heavy right now and I may have miscalculated it.

The post above made an important consideration as well.

The packaging says ~600kg.

I am planning on using full suspension. My rope is 5/8" ( about 16 mm), made from hemp. It is soft and strong, similar to the rope used in executions. I was able to purchase it from a boating supply. From what I had read synthetic materials have too much stretch to work well which is why I went with the hemp.

they have too much stretch for a long drop I think. Short drop or partial should be fine.

Rope is designed to handle more 50kg and more, I'd say well over 120kg would be max that so you'll be fine.
I have a climbing rope, good wide, will take my body.
It takes a lot to commit ctb by rope. Bravery in the face of fear pain SI but then PEACE. Once you're ready and if not fine it's fine, all here for you
