Venting A little a laugh for you all/ moving in diary/venting

I moved into my dorm and today. I hinged my sister and cried a bit. I think this will be one of the last times she'll see me. I plan to isolate myself from my family, and during breaks/holidays I'll make up excuses to stay at my university

Anyways, i was organizing my room when I heard my roommate come in. And instead of saying greeting her, I pretended to not be in my room I got nervous and stayed quiet

I was hoping to make friends but in reality I'm more concerned with getting my degree/graduating. And I already noticed that other students/parents haven't been kind. For example I was waiting for the elevator and a family cut in front of me . (I didn't say anything though) and some of the students I've made eye contact with have this look of disgust … but I'm aware that I shouldn't be treated with kindness, a dumb piece of trash. I just I could stay in my dorm forever :(

I'm so sorry about these experiences. A lot of people are just rude and insensitive. I don't think anybody should be treated that way. Good luck with your degree! Whats your major?

Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier. Chemistry is awesome, I minored in it. I perused multiple majors and advanced degrees and even taught a little.
I feel like I have met a lot more chemical engineering majors than I have chemistry. Thats really cool, do you want to get a masters? What do you want to do after school?
