Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

2 opposing perspectives and 6 true facts about Canada's assisted dying policy, a seemingly normal, mature debate with dialogue in a polarized woooorld, who would've thought.

Firstly, I thought this could be better if they narrowed down the debate to euthanasia for patients with mental health issues since the pro euthanasia doctor just kept referencing terminal illness cases.

I also think the crux of the issue is that (depending on the country you are from) social services are dead, piss poor, and are a joke, this makes MAID a more appealing option for people who have nowhere left to turn. A problem that is never discussed which I will always argue, is people are not necessarily drawn to MAID but the crumbling social services. We should be making housing affordable, healthcare accessible, and other such changes, at which point we will be sure that people accessing MAID aren't doing it because they have no other available options because there health services are shoddy, but also have no signs of changing,

Choices, choices, choices.

The gentleman opposing MAID kept saying we should try to alleviate the suffering by improving living conditions. I agree with him. But let's not kid ourselves and let's be practical. People who are mentally ill are the ones that are ostracized. Their own family members abandon them. They are left with no one but themselves to fight the discrimination and to top it off they need to have money. One needs to understand that for having money one needs to have a steady source of income and we know how easy it is to hold on to a job ! If one joins any care center , you open yourself to abuse. The help and policies put on paper by govt. hardly reaches the deserved ones. Just saying let us alleviate the suffering doesn't help. Please provide ways of successfully implementing it as well. Having said that I have come across people who claimed that the doctor advised them MAID . This needs to stop. MAID is the most progressive take any country could embrace . And doctors prescribing MAID should be considered criminal. It should be only when the individual wants to die , and initiate a request, the request needs to be entertained..not the other way round.
