A dilemma on what to do with loved ones

I am contemplating doing this very soon, and I am struggling with the feeling that I should reach out to my loved ones before I do to give them some good memories, but I also feel like this could be confusing and in the end more hurtful than just remaining distant and just doing it.

Has anyone else felt like this?

This is truly a dilemma. What do you mean by "reaching out"? Well reaching out can be good and bad, that depends on how determined you are to CTB imo bc if your family knows about your actual plans they might interfere and cause even more pain.
