• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

According to news sources today, Up to 500 patients each Week are dying in UK emergency care. The Archbishop of Canterbury rightly talks about the inadequate health / care system in the news today too, and although i dont subscribe to his god, i know too that divine intervention doesn't happen so unless our health system changes for better days, this human travesty continues, in part due to staff shortages and underfunding, many people who wanted to live but died.

And yet I feel persecuted because i wish assistance in dying when my illness makes my life unbearable.

I shouldn't expect anything less from a system that allows people to die, whilst persecuting the dying.

Absolutely. It's not a good time to be ill in the UK... Or to post a letter... Or travel by train...

Not blaming the employees by the way. I'm sure they are being treated like shit. It's such a mess! I just want out- like you. You have more legitimate reason too. It's just plain cruel and barbaric to deny ill people a peaceful release- should they want it.

And this...
(I'm not from US, just an example)

"A recent Johns Hopkins study claims more than 250,000 people in the U.S. die every year from medical errors. Other reports claim the numbers to be as high as 440,000.
Medical errors are the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.
Advocates are fighting back, pushing for greater legislation for patient safety."

I worked in pharmacy as a technician in a major city and the iv bags were the most appalling aspect for me. We had a literal crackhead doing IVs on my shift. The pharmacists were on their phones most of the time and the checks moved faster than a fast food restaurant. They can't really check the fluids just the vials used. Never felt safe to me. Doesn't make sense to me to have techs do IV bags but I guess 9.9/10 times it works so who am I to say? Pharm techs have no education or thorough understanding, and no offense us, we weren't the sharpest bunch. The poor fucking nurses moved too quick too and had too many patients per employee. Hospitals are just shit shows to me after the experience.

I don't actually find healthcare workers to be naturally caring individuals. A lot of them are kind of dismissive of how serious their role is, especially in the supporting staff. The educated bunch with licenses pull through with discipline and trained etiquette but be careful of techs. They might just doing this job cause it pays well for little investment in education requirements.

I understand :-( Unfortunately many doctors too do their jobs ( or rather do nothing but gaslighting patients) only for money and their narcissistic ego.
It's all I see all my life.

At least those who are gone cannot suffer anymore and are free from this cruel existence, I always envy those who die. But yes, it's certainly an absolutely horrific thing to deny even those in extreme suffering the option of assisted suicide. The subject of voluntary death really shouldn't be so stigmatised. And because of the way that society views suicide unnecessary torture will be prolonged that would had otherwise be prevented and that is the true tragedy.
