  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

A peaceful death...??

I am desperate to leave this world.

My plan is similar to the exit bag. I am going to:

- sit against the corner of my wall so I don't fall over
- attach the pressure regulator to the 3.3L tank (2050 nitrous gas, largest size available).
- place the oven bag (35×48) over my head, place a rubber band at the base.
- insert the hose under the rubber band to flush out CO2
- set the flow rate to 12-15
- try to go to sleep and hopefully don't wake up.

Please let me know your critiques or thoughts.

2000 g of N2O is approximately 1000 liters at atmospheric pressure, this amount should suffice for an open system. A CO2 regulator would probably be the best option in this case, since N2O and CO2 have nearly the same molecular mass and density of the gas form. I guess, the operating range should include 20 - 60 bars, since the initial pressure would likely be somewhere near to 50 - 60 bars and then the pressure of vapours may drop down to 20 - 30 bars as nitrous oxide becomes cold due to evaporation of liquid N2O.

I guess, 15 - 20 or even 20 - 25 lpm would be a safer range, since a significant drop in the input pressure would likely occur within a few minutes, and who knows how well the regulator would be able to maintain the output flow rate at nearly the same level then...

You could also consider closed systems (working without maintaining constant gas flow) for CTB with N2O

It seems, there are special regulators for such N2O canisters.

The problem with the presented model is that it doesn't measure the output flow rate, so you'd have to assess it using some external tool or setup.
