An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Jumping was one of my methods I had in mind in the past. However, ever since I acquired my firearm almost a year ago, I'd rather take a bullet/shell than jump. Nevertheless, if I did choose to jump, I'd go for a more secluded place if possible due to there being less chance of intervention and/or drawing attention to a particular hotspot.
@LittleJem Yeah, this society is sick. Instead of looking at the real reasons of "why" and the "root causes" for these men to jump, they instead write it off as mental illness and what not. Also, society just wants to prevent suicide rather than work on fixing the actual causes for people to WANT to commit suicide. Furthermore, by writing off reasoning as mental illness, is only sweeping the real problems under the rug (unemployment, financial issues, relationship issues, shitty quality of life, health reasons, and many other reasons, etc.)

For all it's effectiveness, jumping is the one I couldn't do. The thought of standing at that height and looking down, I know I'd freeze up and back down.
"Officials are moving toward a possible deterrent"... how about actually creating a community that provides free resources for citizens suffering?
Oh wait...no unfortunately they don't care that much, but yet they don't want to have more suicides because that ruins their lunch break.
Stealth war planes & Bombs to kill unarmed civilians in oil-rich middle east countries = US feds say worth the money
Depressed suffering US citizens that are constantly pressured into fear of homelessness so they desperately become ill and beg for help with medical care or relief = US feds say NOT worth the money
Across the United States the federal government rarely really put forth much funding at all to provide safety nets for human beings that are suffering, but they sure can come up with billions and trillions of dollars in a single vote for unnecessary wars in the military and weaponry.
Hmmm... but when citizens pay tax they should also have rights to basic medical care, shelter, etc... where are those priorities, hmm?
I can't imagine jumping, although the water must've made it somewhat less painful, I could only do it in an absolute emergency.

I feel like an idiot. Lol when I read your post, I asked myself why you can't give two thumbs up, after all we have two thumbs. I literally imagined it that I forgot it was the "like" button lol
